My humanitarian experience: helping women in Cambodia out of the system of prostitution
I went through here on a mission to Cambodia, countries that I know already a few to be born and there be gone several times to see my family. I joined the NGO RiverKids located near the Pirom Penti city to fight against the trafficking of children in the slums and also helps women prostitutes to escape through a Vocational trainings offered by the NGO.
This program allows these women to follow sewing classes, Handicraft or the more specific classes on the basis of their expectations during a time in order to enable them to find a decent job and get out of the prostitution system futures. I have during my mission, accompanied by Sokunthea, the leadership team of the programme in carrying out this mission, which is a very great and beautiful challenge. I tried to understand the challenge that it faces on a daily basis and how it is to be to the nearest of these women and assist them to the best that it can. I had a humanitarian experience truly unique, even if I discovered another facet, more difficult in Cambodia, and RIVERKIDS challenge and teams there is remarkably led, I can only admire all the work and the efforts that are made to love the country.
